This archaeological site of Puca Pucara is one of the most strategic places of Inca Cusco. Although often underestimated due to its size, it is essential for understanding the military, administrative, and road system of the Tahuantinsuyo.

Puca Pucara is located 7 km northeast of Cusco’s historic center, within the Sacsayhuamán Archaeological Park, at an approximate altitude of 3,700 meters above sea level (12,140 feet).

By taxi

Estimated travel time: 20–25 minutes. This is the most comfortable option.

It can be combined with Tambomachay and Qenqo.

By public transportation
