DAY 01: (JUNE 22): ARRIVAL IN CUSCO – CUSCO CITY TOUR
According to your flight arrival time, a member of our team will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome cup of coca tea, which helps you better adapt to the city’s altitude. You will then have some free time to rest and have lunch before starting the tour.
The Cusco City Tour begins at 1:30 p.m. with a visit to Qoricancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun, one of the most important temples of the Inca Empire. We will continue to the Main Square and the main streets of the historic center, where you can appreciate the combination of Inca heritage and colonial architecture. We will also stop at the traditional San Pedro Market, an ideal place to discover the local products and customs of the region.
Afterwards, we will visit two important archaeological sites located on the outskirts of the city: Sacsayhuamán Fortress, famous for its massive stone walls, and Q’enqo, an ancient ceremonial sanctuary. At approximately 6:00 p.m., we will finish the tour with a transfer back to your hotel.

DAY 02: (JUNE 23): CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS TOUR
One day before the Inti Raymi Festival, we will enjoy an excursion through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The tour begins at 8:00 a.m. with hotel pick-up in Cusco. We will start our journey passing by the Qorao viewpoint and following the course of the Vilcanota River.
We will enjoy a panoramic view of the Inca citadel of Pisac and visit its traditional market, where we can learn more about the customs and traditions of the local communities. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in the Sacred Valley (optional, USD 20 per person).
In the afternoon, we will visit the fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, built to control access to this area of the valley. We will walk through the town’s streets to understand how this important military, religious, and administrative center functioned during the Inca Empire.
On the way back to Cusco, we will visit the town of Chinchero, where the remains of the royal estate of the Inca ruler Túpac Yupanqui are located. We will observe the well-preserved Inca wall in the main square and the colonial church, built on Inca foundations and featuring fresco paintings in its entrance area. We will also visit the artisan market and enjoy a demonstration of natural wool dyeing and traditional weaving techniques.
After the visit, we will return to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m.

DAY 03: (JUNE 24): CUSCO – INTI RAYMI FESTIVAL (FESTIVAL OF THE SUN)
Today we will attend the Inti Raymi Festival, also known as the Festival of the Sun, one of the most important cultural celebrations of Cusco, which has been performed at the Sacsayhuamán esplanade since Inca times. The tour begins at 8:00 a.m. with hotel pick-up to head to the first location where the ceremony begins.
The Inti Raymi ceremony takes place in three different locations: it begins at Qoricancha, located on El Sol Avenue; continues at the Main Square of Cusco, where the second scene is performed; and concludes with the main ceremony at Sacsayhuamán (approximately 3 km from Cusco). There, we will enjoy the ritual performance from the esplanade, with reserved theater-style seating for our group.
At the end of the experience, around 3:00 p.m., we will transfer you back to your respective hotels.

DAY 04: (JUNE 25): CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU TOUR – CUSCO
Today we will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Our transportation will pick you up at 5:30 a.m. from your hotel in Cusco and transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). There, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes village (2,040 m / 6,693 ft above sea level), with a journey of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Upon arrival at the station, our guide will be waiting for you and will accompany you to the bus station. We will ascend approximately 400 meters along a winding road for about 30 minutes until reaching Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and known as the Lost City of the Incas.
Upon entering the citadel, we will present the entrance ticket at the control point and begin a guided tour of more than 2 hours through the main areas of the assigned circuit. Depending on the route available that day, the visit may include the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun (tower), the Royal Enclosures, and the Temple of the Three Windows, among other important sites.
Important Note: Machu Picchu operates with official circuits, and the circuit is assigned according to availability at the time of purchase. To secure the classic route (Circuit 2), which allows visitors to appreciate most of the main archaeological areas, it is recommended to book at least 6 months in advance.
After the visit, we will return to Aguas Calientes, where you can have lunch at one of the local restaurants (lunch not included). In the afternoon, we will take the return train (you must arrive at the station 30 minutes before departure), following the same route back. Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo train station, our transportation will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes).
The estimated arrival time in Cusco will be 7:30 p.m.

DAY 05: (JUNE 26): CUSCO – RETURN TO LIMA
Breakfast at the hotel. At the scheduled time, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport to take your return flight to Lima (airfare not included).

How to prevent altitude sickness?
- The altitude sickness or soroche can cause you some discomfort during your visit such as dizziness, fatigue or nausea. Try to avoid alcoholic beverages and fatty foods before the visit.
- To reduce symptoms, try to acclimatize yourself one day before to the altitude of the city of Cusco. We recommend to drink infusions of coca leaf (natural plant used by the Incas) is an excellent option to avoid the actitude sickness.
How is the accommodation?
- For all the tours which include hotels. We offer hotels of 3* and 4* category, it has spacious and comfortable rooms, bathrooms, hot showers and bueffet breakfast. If the tourist like, you can change the accommodation to a better service. You just have to request it via email for an additional cost.
Which season is the best time to visit Cusco and Machu Picchu?
- The dry season months between April to December are the best time to come and visit Cusco. During those days the possibility of rain is very little, so the roads are not swampy and the landscapes can be better to enjoy and takes the best pictures. On the other hand, the months with the most rain are January, February and March.
What are the coldest months in Cusco Peru?
- The coldest season in Cusco are in the months from May to July. During this time the sun is strong in the day, but once it goes down or you spend much time in the shade, it can get very cold. It can go below zero at night, so warm clothes and Jackets are necessary to bring during these months.
How long in advance can I request the tour?
- We recommend to purchase the tours weeks or months in advance, this because the train and Machu Picchu tickets has a limit of spaces, dont wait until the lust minute to book your tour, other ways you will not be able to find spaces.
During the trip to Machu Picchu, where the big luggages will stay?
The train company that operates to Machu Picchu does not allow the traveler to carry a suitcase that weighs more than 7 kilograms. To go up and visit the city of Machu Picchu, it is recommended to carry a light and small backpack for your convenience; the rest of the luggages you can leave them without any problem at the storage of your hotel in Cusco, or you can also leave at our office in Cusco city, we have an storage too.
Very Important in case you want to book the Inca trail to Machu Picchu:
- CLASSIC INCA TRAIL 4 DAYS: If you want to book the Classic Inca Trail 4 days, you must to book early to get your desired date. Depending on the month you prefer to do the hike, you may need to book 6 months or more in advance, the limit of spaces for the inca trail 4 days is 400 people per each day.
- SHORT INCA TRAIL: If you are booking the 1 or 2 day Inca Trail, it is preferred that you also book in advance, however 2 to 4 month in advance would be good, the limit of spaces for the short inca trail is 200 people per each day.
When is the best season to hike the Inca Trail?
- The best time of year to do the inca trail is between May to October, with August and September being the best months of all. The trail is dry and the weather is lovely. During the rainy season between November to April the trail will be wet and can make it more difficult.
