DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN LIMA – HALF-DAY CITY TOUR.

AM: Pick up at Lima airport in the morning and proceed with the City Tour

1:00 PM: We will take a tour of the “City of Kings,” where you will visit the Historic Center of Lima, including the Plaza de Armas, which is the city’s main square, the Government Palace, the Cathedral of Lima, the Archbishop’s Palace, and others. Then we will take a walk to visit the oldest bar in Lima, Bar Cordano, and then visit the San Francisco Museum, a museum of 17th-century religious art, where we will see its beautiful library and many bones in its mysterious catacombs.

Then we will move to the district of Pueblo Libre to visit the Larco Private Museum, where you will see more than 45,000 original ceramic pieces, located in an 18th-century mansion built on top of a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. Take note of the countless treasures on display in one of the world’s most prestigious museums for gold and silver. Don’t miss the warehouse and the exclusive collection of pre-Columbian erotic ceramics, one of the most popular attractions in South America.

DAY 02: FLIGHT FROM LIMA TO CUSCO – PISAQ – URUBAMBA.

AM: After breakfast, we will board our flight from LIMA to CUSCO (1 hour flight).

AM: Reception at Cusco airport and we will immediately proceed to the beautiful “Sacred Valley of the Incas” where we will visit the typical market of Pisaq where you can see the famous craft fair and also visit the archaeological complex of Pisaq, where you can see picturesque terraces cultivated on the mountain. Then we will head to the town of Urubamba for a lunch at an exclusive restaurant. After the lunch, you will be transferred to your luxurious 5-star hotel in Urubamba, where you will have the afternoon free to acclimatize and rest before the next day’s tour.

DAY 03: SACRED VALLEY TOUR + EXPERIENTIAL TOURISM

AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

We will take our private transportation to the town of Maras. Here, we will have a guided tour of the town and the Maras salt mines, where the guide will provide a comprehensive explanation of this tourist attraction. Afterward, we will visit the agricultural terraces of Moray, which served as an agricultural experimentation center during the Inca era.

Next, we will travel to the community of Misminay, where the residents will give us a warm welcome with music and dance. Continuing our tour, we will have the opportunity to experience and participate in their daily activities, sharing some of their daily tasks with the families of the community, such as plowing, harvesting, planting, agriculture, and offerings to Pachamama (Mother Earth). We will also have the opportunity to learn the process of spinning, weaving, and dyeing their garments with natural ingredients. The women of this community, responsible for this important work, will teach us these procedures using ancestral techniques inherited from their ancestors.

At 1:30 PM, we will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring local cuisine, prepared by the community members of Misminay, providing a wonderful culinary experience.

In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, after lunch, we will say goodbye to the community members of Misminay and then board our private transportation to our luxury hotel in Urubamba. We will have the afternoon to relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities.

DAY 04: URUBAMBA – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO.

AM: Breakfast at the hotel.

We begin our tour at 6:30 AM, boarding our private transportation from the hotel in Urubamba. We will take you to the Ollantaytambo train station, where we will board our “Vistadome or First Class” train and then travel to the town of “Aguas Calientes” (2000 meters above sea level).

Upon arrival at the train station, our guide will be waiting for you with a sign with your names on it. He will take you to the bus station, where you will ascend 400 meters in altitude along a winding road for 30 minutes until you reach the incredible wonder of the world, “The Sanctuary of Machu Picchu,” known as “The Lost City of the Incas.”

Upon arrival at the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will pass through the control point where you will hand in your entrance ticket. From here, the guided tour will begin, visiting the main sites such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Enclosures, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the cemeteries. After the guided tour, you will have time to explore the city on your own.

After the tour of Machu Picchu, we will take the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have lunch at a gourmet restaurant in the town of Aguas Calientes.

In the afternoon, we will take the train back to the train station in Ollantaytambo (you must arrive at the station 30 minutes before your train’s departure time). The return trip will follow the same route as the outward journey. Upon arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo, we will be waiting to take you back to your luxury hotel in Cusco in our private transport (a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes). We will arrive in Cusco at approximately 7:00 PM.

DAY 05: CUSCO CITY TOUR 1/2 DAY.

M: Breakfast at the hotel.

9:00 AM: We will pick you up from your hotel 15 minutes before the start of the City Tour, and then begin our visit to the main tourist attractions of the city of Cusco.

Our first stop will be Sacsayhuamán, a Quechua name meaning “satisfied falcon,” which was built with enormous stone blocks. In Inca times, it was called the “house of the sun” and was a religious center of great importance. Next, we will visit Qenqo, a Quechua word meaning “labyrinth,” coined by the Spanish because of its labyrinthine underground galleries and small zigzagging channels.

Then we will visit the traditional main local market of San Pedro, where we will familiarize ourselves with the local flavor by experiencing the products of the Cusco area firsthand.

Continuing with the tour, we will visit the Temple of Qoricancha (in Quechua, “Golden Enclosure”). This wonderful temple is considered sacred as it housed Inca priests responsible for worshipping the Sun God.

To end our tour in Cusco, we will visit the main square, take a short walk through the main streets of the city, and observe well-preserved walls and buildings from the Inca period (Hatun Rumiyoy, “Stone of the 12 Angles,” and Loreto Street, Intikijllu).

1:30 PM: You will be transferred to your 5-star hotel where you can rest and have the afternoon free to shop or visit Cusco on your own.

DAY 06: RETURN CUSCO – LIMA.

Breakfast at the hotel.

At the appropriate time, pick up from the hotel and transfer to the airport to take the return flight to Lima.

The scheduled time of the return flight from Cusco to Lima will depend on the departure time of your international flight.
