¡Thank you very much for choosing MACHU PICCHU VIAJES PERU! To have a better experience and satisfaction of our services, we strongly recommend that you carefully read the following information:

For Reservations

To make any reservation, the company requires a payment of 30 or 50% of the total cost of the tour package, by the client using one of our authorized payment methods (Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Western Union or Bank Transference)the balance of your tour must be paid in cash or by credit card the first day of your arrival to Cusco city in US American dollars to the staff who assist you. In order to confirm the reservation, it will be necessary to have the following information for each passenger making the trip: Full Name, Passport Number, Nationality, Date of Birth and Sex. It is recommended to report allergies, diseases, passenger conditions, characteristics of each passenger, food preferences, etc. Once the prepayment has been made, our sales agent will send you an email and contract with the confirmation of the reservation of the chosen package by the client, this email and contract is a guarantee document of your reservation, after the client will receive the confirmation, they must confirm the content of the mail in detail and respond to it. If your reservation includes accommodation nights, the confirmation of the hotels is subject to availability of spaces, if there is no space in the hotel specified in the confirmation email, another hotel of a similar category and price will be given to the client. The company reserves the right to accept last minute reservations (24 hours before the client’s arrival at the destination) , in this case the company will expressly indicate the special conditions of said reservation, which will include, if special hours are the case, these conditions must be mutually agreed with the client and will be evidenced by email.

Tours and Itineraries

Itineraries are planned with great care and attention, although, for operational reasons, it may be necessary to change the order of activities, or the specified route, and although such cases may be occasional, the general itinerary only it should be assumed as a basic guide.The company reserves the right to make, without prior notice, modifications in the order of excursions or trips, due to weather conditions, river level, time of arrival or departure of flights, buses or trains or for any other relevant reason, the same ones that will guarantee your safety and the best development of your trip. In the event that the itinerary activities suffer variations, are rescheduled at the last minute or are canceled due to flight delays, social conflicts, bad weather, road blockages, landslides and any other inconvenience caused by third parties, the company It is not responsible for making a refund of money to customers, but is committed to helping the customer make changes to their travel itinerary.

Changes and Modifications

In case of a pandemic such as Covid or similar, or any other event, we are very flexible in our cancellation policies: In case something happens on your trip and for whatever reason you cannot come to Peru and you cannot take the tour due to flight delays or cancellations, social conflicts (strikes or riots), bad weather, blocked roads, landslides and any other inconvenience caused by third parties.

you will have the option to change and move the thavel date of your tour and itinerary for any other date in the futute, without any extra tax or payment. This request to change the date or change the itinerary had to be send by email 20 days before the begining of the tour. If a request to change the date or change the itinerary is received 15 days before the start of the tour, it will be subject to a penalty for operating expenses of USD $ 50.00 per person (Subject to availability of spaces). Date changes in Hotels are subject to space availability and the establishment’s own policies. Inca Trail Special Case: Keep in mind that the Inca Trail tour, the permits are not exchangeable, non-transferable and non-refundable. The dates can never change due to the government policy of the Ministry of Culture

Cancellations

According to our experience, a certain percentage of reservations are canceled by the client before starting their trip due to unforeseen circumstances, such as: Cancelations or flight delays, social conflicts (strikes or riots), bad weather, road blocks, landslides. and any other inconvenience caused by third parties.

The penalties for cancellations of services depending on the date of cancellation according to the list below:

  • 30 days or more before the tour start date: 30% of the deposit will not be returned.
  • 25 to 16 days before the tour start date: 50% of the deposit will not be returned.
  • 15 to 07 days before the tour start date: 80% of the deposit will not be returned.
  • 06 to 0 days before the tour start date: 100% of the deposit will not be returned.

It must be understood that these penalities are applicable, because certain services such as air tickets, train tickets, entrance fees to Machu Picchu, Inca Trail tickets, hotels etc. are purchased and reserved in advance and many of them dont have the option of cancellation or refund.

A SPECIAL NOTE REGARDING CANCELLATIONS OF INCA TRAIL RESERVATIONS Advance payments for the different treks that include Inca Trail 4 days / 3 nights, Inca Trail 2 days / 1 night, Inca Trail 5 days / 4 nights , Salkantay and Inca Trail 7 days / 6 nights. The costs of these treks are non-returnable, and include entrance tickets to the Inca Trail, porters, cooks, and train tickets. This is because the services are reserved and paid at the time the reservation is made, hence the required deposit is non-refundable.

NO SHOW (No show) We will retain the full amount and we are not responsible for the no presentation of the client due to delay or cancellation of their flight. The company is not responsible for damage to or loss of luggage, accidents, unforeseen expenses, unavoidable delays, services provided by third parties or direct causes beyond our control. In the unfortunate event of the presentation for unforeseen causes, the company will provide a certificate to the client for processing with their insurance company.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In the event that the client leaves the tour for any reason or circunstance, the extra expenses are the responsibility of the client and the company is not responsible for any refund.
