The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is the most recognized trekking in Peru and the world since along the route you can see beautiful views in addition to the great variety of flora and fauna. Therefore, to enter this walk you have to make a reservation many months in advance.
The Inca Trail begins in the town of Qorihuayrachina at kilometer 88 of the Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes railway line and takes 4 days of walking, the level considered for this trek is demanding. The route includes a variety of altitudes, climates, and ecosystems from Andean plains to cloud forests.
To make the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu you must take into account that you have to book 4 to 5 months in advance and you need to hire the services of an authorized agency that meets all the requirements for its operation.

Costs of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

The prices for the Inca Trail 4 days or 2 days vary depending on the type of tour you choose, the duration of the tour, and the services included. On average, prices for a 4-day, 3-night tour can range from $500 to $1,000 US dollars per person. It is important to note that prices may be higher during the high season, which runs from May to August.

Price of the Inca Trail in Group Service:
For the private service, you must have at least two tourists
Adult (2 people): $900
Adult (3 people): $890
Adult (4 people): $870
For a group of more than 5 people, we have a 10% discount on the price of the tour.
Note: If you are a university student you will have a 15% discount on the price of the tour. (You must present a valid card and only up to 25 years old).
Price of the Inca Trail in Private Service.
For the private service, you must have at least two tourists.
Adult (2 people): $1,280
Adult (3 people): $1,180
Adult (4 people): $1,080
For a group of more than 5 people, we have a 10% discount on the price of the tour.
Note: If you are a university student you will have a 15% discount on the price of the tour. (You must present a valid card and only up to 25 years old).

Availability of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Before reserving the tour, the first thing to do is to set your travel date since the tickets are not transferable to another date and there is no refund.
It is important that you book the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in advance, as permits to do the trek are limited and sell out quickly. The Peruvian government limits the number of people who can do the trek to 500 per day, including guides and porters. It is recommended that you book your tour at least 6 months in advance to ensure you have a permit to do the trek.
