For this inconvenience, there is an alternate route to Machu Picchu that consists of taking a bus from Cusco to the Hydroelectric station. The trip lasts approximately 8 hours. Upon reaching the hydroelectric plant, it will continue with a walk of approximately 2 hours until reaching the town of Aguas Calientes. In this place you will spend the night so that the next day you can visit Machu Picchu.

The purchase of entrance tickets to Machu Picchu is another cost to take into account since the costs depend on the circuit you want to do.
